Managed voice, internet and SD-WAN for organizations that cannot afford to go dark.

XCLUTEL designs the network, sources the circuits and stands behind the whole thing with a support desk that answers, so telecom stops being the thing that breaks first.

  • Avaya Certified SME
  • Carrier neutral
  • Equinix interconnected
  • 24x7 XCLU-Care

What we deliver

Four things, done right, backed by one desk

Voice, network access, SD-WAN and the team that manages all of it around the clock.

Business Voice

Hosted, hybrid and on premises voice, delivered on the platform that fits how your team actually works.

CloudX is the XCLUTEL hosted voice platform: full PBX features, call center queues and reporting, and Microsoft Teams integration for organizations already standardized on Teams. Hybrid CloudX keeps an existing Avaya or Mitel system in service while moving trunking and disaster recovery to the cloud, so a working phone system does not have to be thrown away to modernize. For sites that are not ready to leave the PSTN, XCLUTEL provisions SIP trunks, PRI circuits and analog POTS lines.

  • CloudX hosted PBX, call center and Microsoft Teams calling
  • Hybrid CloudX for existing Avaya and Mitel systems
  • SIP trunking, PRI circuits and analog POTS lines
  • Desk phones, softphones and mobile clients
  • Number porting and E911 registration handled end to end

Network and Internet Access

Circuits sourced across many carriers, engineered as one network and supported by one team.

XCLUTEL is carrier neutral. Rather than resell a single provider, it designs the access layer per site and sources the circuit that actually fits: dedicated fiber, broadband, fixed wireless or private transport. Interconnection at Equinix gives XCLUTEL direct reach into the major carriers and cloud on ramps, so traffic does not take an unnecessary trip through the public internet to reach Azure or AWS.

  • Dedicated fiber, broadband and fixed wireless access
  • Private transport and point to point circuits
  • Equinix interconnection for direct cloud on ramps
  • Multi site designs with diverse paths for failover
  • One invoice and one support number across every carrier

SD-WAN and Security

Fortinet based SD-WAN that keeps voice clean, steers around brownouts and enforces policy at every edge.

A single circuit failing should not take a location offline, and a saturated link should not turn a customer call into garbage. XCLUTEL deploys Fortinet SD-WAN so each site can run two or more diverse links, steer voice onto whichever path is healthy right now, and fail over without dropping the call. The same appliance carries the security stack, so branch firewalling, segmentation and inspection are part of the network rather than a separate project.

  • Application aware path selection with sub second failover
  • Voice quality protection during congestion and brownouts
  • Next generation firewall and segmentation at every branch
  • Central policy across all sites, not box by box
  • Bandwidth aggregation across mixed carriers and media

XCLU-Care Managed Services

24x7 monitoring, moves, adds and changes, and a support desk that answers instead of routing you to a queue.

XCLU-Care is the wrapper around everything above. XCLUTEL monitors the circuits, the SD-WAN edges and the voice platform around the clock, opens and drives carrier tickets on the customer behalf, and handles the day to day moves, adds and changes that otherwise land on an already busy IT team. Escalation goes to engineers who know the account, not to a tier one script.

  • 24x7 monitoring of circuits, edges and voice platform
  • Carrier ticket management and escalation on your behalf
  • Moves, adds and changes handled by the support desk
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery call routing
  • Quarterly reviews of spend, contracts and capacity

Why XCLUTEL

A mid market IT team gets one partner, not five

Carrier neutral by design

XCLUTEL does not own a network, which means it has no reason to sell you the wrong one. Each site gets the access that fits it, and XCLUTEL owns the result across every provider involved.

One number for everything

Voice, circuits, SD-WAN and the carrier relationships all escalate through the same desk. No triangulating between three vendors while your phones are down.

Continuity is the design goal

Diverse paths, automatic failover and pre staged call rerouting are built into the design rather than sold as an add on after the first outage.

Certified on what you already run

XCLUTEL is an Avaya certified SME and works across Mitel, Cisco, Fortinet and ADTRAN, so an existing investment can be extended instead of ripped out.

Certified and interconnected

Built on the platforms IT teams already trust

XCLUTEL holds direct certifications and interconnection with the vendors below, so a design draws on the right platform instead of the one XCLUTEL happens to resell.

From customers

What it sounds like when it works

They treat our phone system like it is their own. When something breaks we call one number and it gets handled, which was never true with our old carrier.

IT Director, Healthcare

We moved eleven locations without a single day of downtime. The planning they did up front is the only reason that went the way it did.

Operations Manager, Retail

The value is not the pricing, although that helped. It is that someone actually picks up and knows who we are.

Controller, Manufacturing

Common questions

What buyers usually ask first

What does XCLUTEL Communications do?

XCLUTEL Communications is a managed telecommunications provider based in Downers Grove, Illinois. It delivers business phone systems, internet and private network circuits, Fortinet based SD-WAN, and 24x7 managed support to organizations across healthcare, retail, manufacturing, education and professional services. The name comes from eXCLUsive TELecommunications.

Is XCLUTEL a carrier?

No. XCLUTEL Communications is carrier neutral. It designs the network, then sources circuits from whichever carriers actually fit each location, and interconnects at Equinix for direct reach into the major providers and cloud on ramps. Customers get one design, one invoice and one support desk across all of those carriers rather than managing each relationship separately.

What is CloudX?

CloudX is the XCLUTEL Communications hosted voice platform. It provides a full cloud PBX with call center queues and reporting, plus Microsoft Teams calling for organizations standardized on Teams. Hybrid CloudX is a variant that keeps an existing Avaya or Mitel phone system in service while moving trunking and disaster recovery routing into the cloud, so a working system does not have to be replaced to modernize.

Can XCLUTEL keep our existing Avaya or Mitel phone system?

Yes. XCLUTEL Communications is an Avaya certified SME and also supports Mitel, so an existing on premises system can be kept in service and extended with Hybrid CloudX. That moves SIP trunking, disaster recovery call routing and cloud features onto the XCLUTEL platform while the handsets and the PBX customers already paid for keep working.

What happens to our phones if an internet circuit goes down?

XCLUTEL Communications designs for that case rather than reacting to it. Sites are built with diverse access paths and Fortinet SD-WAN, which detects a failing or congested link and steers active voice traffic onto a healthy path, usually without dropping calls. If a location loses connectivity entirely, pre staged disaster recovery routing sends inbound calls to mobile numbers, another site or an auto attendant.

What is XCLU-Care?

XCLU-Care is the XCLUTEL Communications managed service program. It covers 24x7 monitoring of circuits, SD-WAN edges and the voice platform, carrier ticket management and escalation handled on the customer behalf, day to day moves, adds and changes, and periodic reviews of telecom spend, contracts and capacity.

What areas does XCLUTEL serve?

XCLUTEL Communications is headquartered at 3130 Finley Road, Suite 510C, Downers Grove, Illinois, and serves the greater Chicago area along with multi site organizations across the United States. Because XCLUTEL is carrier neutral, it can source access at locations well outside Illinois and still support every site from the same desk.

How do existing customers get support?

Existing XCLUTEL Communications customers reach the support desk at (708) 273-3111 or service@xclutel.com, 24x7 for service affecting issues. The CloudX administration portal is at cloudx.xclutel.com and billing is at xclutel.billcenter.net. New inquiries go to (855) 925-8835, spoken as 1.855.XCLUTEL, or wecare@xclutel.com.
